Under this motto, the new Kiel Christmas Village welcomes all visitors! The cozy huts evoke the flair of a colorful village square in the neighbouring Scandinavian countries.
The Kiel Christmas Village with the flying Christmas elf "Ki(e)lian"
The Kiel Christmas Village impresses with its authenticity, originality and hospitality. The huts, designed according to Scandinavian wooden house architecture , turn the historic square into a festive village. On the historic carousel from 1900, everyone can find a seat on one of the lovingly designed horses, carriages or figures.
Three times a day, a mini cog, pulled by six reindeer, flies over the Christmas market on Kiel's town hall square. Ki(e)lian the elf tells his very personal story about why presents are distributed by ship instead of sleigh in Kiel.
NEW this year: Immediately after the first elf flight (4 p.m.), elf "Ki(e)lian" will tell a fairy tale from his Scandinavian homeland. The procession of little listeners will then move under the weatherproof roof of the Feuerzangenbowle for "fairytale time". The exciting stories are accompanied by hot chocolate for one euro.
This year there will also be chimes with an elf parade. Every hour on the hour, the elves make their rounds from door to door - together with the wooden Hein Daddel, the THW mascot. The elves round is accompanied by music from the chimes.
The Kiel Christmas Village generally complies with accessibility requirements and the site is accessible for wheelchair users. Appropriate sanitary facilities are available.

The Wichtelflug takes place daily at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Fairytale time with the Wichtel is daily after the first Wichtelflug, which starts at 4 p.m. Readings take place in the covered area by the Feuerzangenbowle, admission free, cocoa 1 euro.

The Christmas voucher booklet
The Christmas voucher booklet is back this year. For €9, you will receive 40 vouchers that you can redeem at the three Christmas markets in Kiel city centre and save 20% or 50% on culinary and craft offers.

Town hall tower ride
Enjoy the incomparable panorama of Kiel from a height of 67 meters. After the guided tour of the city's landmark, you will climb to the platform of the building, which was erected between 1907 and 1911. From this bird's eye view, you have a unique view from the city center to the cruise port - an ideal starting point for individual exploration of the city.
